Double Layered Trouser
Inside Layer: Knee Length Short w/ Western Pockets
Outside Layer: Flare Pant w/ Jean Style Pockets and Top-stitching

This garment features a metal button fly and is constructed from a dead stock green wool fabric. Upon closer glance the self fabric has many beautiful red and yellow wales across the surface. The inside layer is hemmed at the knee and features western pockets and two buttons on the back to hold the outside layer in place.
The outside layer has jean pockets and a flared cut that stacks nicely at the ankle. The pant is intended to be worn with the outside open but can be buttoned up as well. All seam allowances are overlocked and seams have either single or double needle top-stitching.
Process and Fitting
A great deal of time went into fitting this pant. To ensure the two layers lay and stack properly on top of each other required a great deal of trial and error. Going from pattern to fabric then back again resulting in multiple fittings and various pattern adjustments. Here is some of that process.
